At the Inquiry Institute, we do two types of consulting: organizational consulting and Strategic Question Consultations with individuals and small teams. Organizational Consulting Is your team or organization producing the results you want? Or are they mired with problems such as not meeting goals, not working collaboratively, not being innovative, not satisfying customers, or not being accountable and blaming others? The focus of our consulting is to use the QuestionThinking System to help for realizing the benefits of learning organizations. Read about some of these practices in Marilee’s article, “The Spirit and Discipline of Organizational Inquiry: Asking Questions for Organizational Breakthrough and Transformation” CLICK HERE Strategic Question Consultation
The purpose of a
Strategic Question Consultation is to optimize your strategy for success
in an important situation. We focus on discovering and developing the
vital questions that must be asked and answered for you to achieve the
solutions and results you want. These consultations are generally
short-term, perhaps three to five sessions. |

Executive Coaching Are you ready to take your professional life to the next level? Are there skills and perspectives to develop that would make an important difference in your getting where you want to go? Perhaps there are concerns or “derailers” impeding your progress. Executive Coaching is a partnership where we work together over time to develop perspectives, competencies, and strategic action plans that support your career and professional success. This is a highly individualized experience. Coaching Intensive Are you looking for a breakthrough after having tried “everything” to help you figure out what’s holding you back? It could be that your personal, unique “operating questions” are preventing you from moving ahead, despite how genuinely you want to. These operating questions, which are usually implicit and invisible, function like a program in your computer. In this case, you probably need to change your questions to change your programming. A Coaching Intensive is a time-limited process (generally three to eight hours) that can help you discover those hidden operating questions that have been impeding your progress. Once these “troublemaker” questions are revealed, we work together to transform them into questions and strategies that can “alter your programming” and smooth the way to accomplishing the results you want. This process may be part of an Executive Coaching engagement or might be a “stand alone” experience for those referred by other coaches

4. InquiryLabs™
also known as
Learner/Judger |
The purpose of an InquiryLab is for participants to become outstanding question askers so they can formulate the best questions to achieve the results they want in a particular area. Training choices include “in person” or virtual InquiryLabs for coaches, for salespeople, for executives and leaders, and for teams as well as those for consultants, attorneys, educators, organizations, or other areas of interest.
InquiryLab™ for
Coaches The purpose of this InquiryLab is to empower coaches with more expertise in generating strategic, intuitive, and powerful questions for their coachees and themselves. Such questions are the catalysts for successful results. The QuestionThinking™ System is complementary to all models and schools of coaching. To see an announcement of a virtual InquiryLab for Coaches beginning in September 2006, click here. To read about how questioning empowers coaching results, see Marilee’s article, “Expert Coaching with Expert Questions,” CLICK HERE. InquiryLab™ for Executives and Leaders The purpose of this virtual InquiryLab for Executives and Leaders is to strengthen the kind of strategic thinking and effective communicating that is characteristic of the most successful leaders. As Jim Collins wrote in Good to Great: Why some Companies Make the Leap. . and Others Don’t, “The good to great leaders are more like Socrates and Lincoln than Patton and Caesar.” An announcement of this InquiryLab beginning in September 2006 will be available soon.
